Vegetarian eating tip

Non-meat options such as legumes and lentils provide many of the same nutrients as meat, poultry, fish and eggs. Legumes are good to eat with Vitamin C rich foods, for better iron absorption (e.g. legumes and tomatoes).

Larger beans like red kidney and lima beans should be cooked until softened for young toddlers.
